Good Boy

Making a movie with a dog as the main character is tricky. Since the dog doesn't understand that he's in a movie, he needs constant verbal commands to direct his performance (which is far from ideal for recording audio)! That means there's extra time and attention needed to pick up foley, ADR and SFX.

Fortunately, the short was filmed in a single location which the production had easy access to. This allowed us to film principle photography, then return to re-record all the sounds we needed once we'd locked picture in post-production.

For sound recording, we used an Rode NTG-3 and Zoom H4N.
