Every city contains thousands of people, all with different backgrounds and stories. We wanted to tell the stories of a small selection of our friends, who all moved to Amsterdam for different reasons, and decided to stay. This is an homage to our city we have learned to call home, and to the people who make it feel that way.
The Rode product we used was the Rode NTG3B including blimp. Our primary camera was the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k. For the behind the scenes we also used a Rode Videomicro microphone.
All of the scenes were shot in Amsterdam in our friends homes and around the city for landscape shots and b-roll. A "bakfiets" was used to transport the gear around the city for an authentic experience.
Each interview featured two camera angles, face on and a side shot, one light setup with a shotgun mic. Slow motion and time lapses were used for some of the b-roll shots around the city, and most of the city shots in the actual film were filmed during golden hour.
