This role is responsible for the supporting the user experience and user interface development across both hardware and software products in New Product Development team. You will work closely with Product Managers and UX/UI Designer to help raise the bar in delivering functional and eye-catching visuals which are uniform across our product range.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conceptualise visuals based on product requirements
  • Prepare drafts and present ideas
  • Develop illustrations, iconography, symbols, and designs
  • Create assets and design specifications to the software development team
  • Ensure layouts and graphics are visually appealing and on-brand
  • Ensuring all projects uphold a high standard of functional and technical performance – in line with the RODE brand
  • Manage inputs from key stakeholders
  • Reporting to the manager

You will require the following skills and experience to be successful:

  • 3+ experience as a Visual Designer
  • Proven experience in visual design, ideally with:
  • Experience in design for PC/MAC applications
  • Experience in design for mobile applications
  • Experience in design for hardware based embedded graphics
  • Experience in product graphics for the finished product in different form (label, pad print, laser marking etc) 
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and detail
  • The ability to present and communicate concepts
  • Experience with multiple design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, etc.)
  • The Ability to iterate quickly and work methodically to meet deadlines
  • Experience or interest in coding for visuals (HTML, CSS, C++, Python) highly valued
